On Sunday 4/7/2018, we will visit the Nipponzan Myohoji temple in DC. We will not be at Yoga in Daily Life in Alexandria that day.

The annual celebration of Shakyamuni Buddha's birthday in Japan is called Hanamatsuri, the Festival of Flowers.

Monastics and sangha members of the Nipponzan Myohoji order will lead a service at their temple in DC for Buddha's Birthday. Our hosts will be in town from Massachusetts as part of their annual Walk for a New Spring Peace Walk.

The service will start 11:00am.

Lunch will be around 12:30-3:30pm. Please bring some food or drink to share if you can.

Travel info: If coming from south of DC, taking public transportation is encouraged due to heavy traffic with the National Cherry Blossom Festival happening downtown. If need a ride or can give a ride, please contact Yusei (email guanyin08 @gmail.com or text 202 277 8149).
