Spring Day of Practice: Gyodo-kai

Gyodo is a Japanese term referring to a wide variety of walking meditation practices, often while chanting mantras or sutras. During this day of practice, we will be hiking unpaved forest trails just a few miles beyond the Washington, DC Beltway. The set of trails is laid out in the form of a mandala honoring the Five Wisdom Buddhas (Godai Nyorai).

The day will include hiking approximately 4 miles of moderately difficult trails, visiting stupas, and practices of guided meditation & mantras centering on the Godai Nyorai.
